Genetic Genealogy
We offer Genetic genealogy to assist in Family Search, Paternity, Adoptees searching for connections and Criminal Cases. Genetic genealogy is the use of DNA testing in combination with traditional genealogical methods to establish familial relationships, trace ancestry, and identify individuals or their relatives. It uses genetic markers within DNA to reveal connections between people and to reconstruct family trees.
There are three main types of genetic testing used in genetic genealogy: Y-DNA testing, mitochondrial DNA testing, and autosomal DNA testing.
Y-DNA testing examines the DNA passed down from father to son along the paternal line, while mitochondrial DNA testing examines the DNA passed down from mother to child along the maternal line. Autosomal DNA testing examines DNA inherited from both parents and can reveal connections across both the maternal and paternal lines.
By analyzing DNA results and comparing them to those of other individuals, genetic genealogists can identify common ancestors and build family trees, even across multiple generations. Genetic genealogy has many practical applications, including the identification of biological relatives, the discovery of unknown family members, and the establishment of ancestry for genealogical research purposes.

As Law Enforcement, You may have a challenging on-going criminal case where the DNA does not point to anyone who is in the CODIS database. If so, we can help by performing in-depth Forensic Genetic Genealogy research to “reverse engineer” the Genealogy of the perpetrator to assist in finding the person responsible for the crime.
